Lying footballer Paul Grant joins the drunk driver shame chain

leave a comment »

A footballer called Paul Grant has only been banned for drink-driving.

He plays for Hibs, and was only banned from driving for a year after pleading guilty to crashing a car and being found to be twice the legal alcohol limit. He must have lied to somebody, as he also admitted having no insurance when he crashed a friend’s car into a fence in Edinburgh’s Gilmerton Road in the city on March 27 of 2011, after being at a party

A breath test showed 72 micrograms of alcohol. The limit is 35 micrograms.

He was also fined a paltry £435, and was not jailed.

Yet another Teflon footballer slips through the courts with a trivial sentence – and the rest of look to heaven and say a ‘Thank you’ for the fact that his little criminal did not kill someone.

As if it was some sort of excuse, his defence solicitor, Kathleen More, said his 18th birthday had happened four days before the incident and he had been celebrating that at a friend’s house.

Can we take it then that he was either still twice the legal limit as he had been saturated with alcohol from a drunken binge at the party, or that he had just been drinking for four days?

She really showed how stupid she and her client thought everyone else one was, by claiming that as a professional sportsman, she said, he was not in the habit of drinking.

If there was the slightest inkling of truth in that patent nonsense, then he would have been drink driving, or been anything like twice the limit even if he had.

What an insult to anyone that might have been listening.

She added that Grant would face a disciplinary hearing by Hibs and was liable to be fined by them.

SO WHAT?

Sheriff Graeme Warner – obviously a Hibs football fan – allowed Grant to pay the fine at a paltry £40 per month.

WHERE’S THE PAIN OR LESSON IN THAT THEN?

Jail the little liar for a year or two – make the roads safe for the rest of us – AND send a message to all these blasted footballers that think the law does not apply to them.

Criminal Kovacevic sentenced for speeding

leave a comment »

Yet another scummy waste of space footballer thinks he is above the law that the rest of have to live within, and that his ridiculous pay give him the right to do as he pleases:

A footballer caught speeding at almost 100mph through a city centre has been ordered to carry out community service.

Dundee United defender Mihael Kovacevic was caught driving at 95mph in a 40mph zone on Dundee’s East Dock Street.

He claimed he had been confused over the speed limit – mistaking a 70mph sign on an adjacent railway line with the signs beside the road.

Clearly he is also delusional if he thinks anyone was ever going to swallow the rubbish he offered as an excuse.

Police found his Audi A8 4-2 Quattrohad been driven at a top speed of 95mph in a 40mph zone.

When he was stopped and told why the police wanted to speak to him he immediately said ‘I was just testing my car’ – so he thought they were mugs that should have been impressed by him too!

It’s a shame he was not sent to jail…

He was only ordered to carry out 100 community service, fined £700 and banned from driving for 14 months. So no key to be lost for his cell, and a fine that means nothing to his income.

They should take footballer’s cars and crush them – with no appeal.

And if they are leased or on payments, they should be be made to pay the lot at once, so the car is their property – and jailed if they don’t cmply.

Justice – celebrity style for trampy Lohan

leave a comment »

Don’t you just love the special treatment handed out to celebrities – and anyone unfortunate enough to fall somewhere under their shadow?

Lifelong tramp, druggy, and alcohol draining point, Lindsey Lohan, gets thrown into the Betty Ford clinic – really a holiday resort for the rich and famous – and then starts to assault the staff.

Who pays?

Not Teflon Lohan – no way!

Rather, a staff member the sodden so-called ‘star’ lashed out against gets the order of the boot, on a convenient charge of breaking patient confidentiality.

What a crock and set-up.

If that was a sacking offence, then the whole management of the Betty Ford clinic should be out on the street, begging bowls in hand.

If they were honouring that particular rule, then we should never know who is at the clinic, but the managers and owners don’t seem to have any problem with making sure the newspapers, magazines, and other media have a full and up to date listing of who is going in and out of the place, and usually why as well.

But that’s good publicity isn’t it, and good for business – not betraying their own patient’s confidentiality.

For some strange reason I cannot quite fathom, the word ‘hypocrite’ has just come to me. I wonder why?

Go Gaza go… please!

I see the judge removed Paul Gascoigne’s legal ability to drive by banning him immediately after he appeared in court, having been found to have FOUR time the legal limit for alcohol in his blood.

BBC News – Jail warning for Gazza for drink driving

What I don’t understand is why this piece of rubbish was not just sent straight to jail, where he could have sat and waited in comfort for his trial to come up.

Instead, he’s free to wander the streets, and drive again – celebrity trash has a record of ‘forgetting’ they are not legally entitled to get behind the wheels of their expensive toys – and has proven he’s not responsible.

The case should not be about whether or not he goes to jail this time – it should merely be about how long for, and how hard it can be made to find the key when his time is up.

Footballer on 120mph speed charge

leave a comment »

Reported by the BBC, it ooks like another filthy arrogant footballer has discovered that they might not be the exalted god that their ridiculous pay packet makes them think they are, and we’ll have to wait for a while to see if he can find someone to share his ill-gotten gains with, and see if he can get himself off these charges for putting us ordinary folk at risk.

Like all these dangerous, pig-headed wasters, there shouldn’t be any option of having the case continued, or of any other such right being accorded to them for this sort of behaviour, and it should be straight off to jail if the police present evidence – especially for 120 mph.

God knows how fast he was actually travelling, as it’s usual for a lesser speed to be quoted on the chrage, so they can’t pay their lawyer to claim they were travelling slower than the recorded speed and that the equipment and method were inaccurate in such a way as to influence the result – he was probably really doing closer to 130 or even 140 mph.

An Aberdeen footballer has appeared in court charged with driving dangerously at speeds of up to 120mph.

Lee Miller, of Perth, made no plea to the charge when he appeared at Stonehaven Sheriff Court.

It is alleged Mr Miller drove at speeds of up to 120mph in a 70mph zone on the A90 Aberdeen to Dundee road on 30 March.

It is also alleged he drove at up to 90mph in a 40mph zone. The case was continued until October.

Queen of Mean to walk

I doubt it.

Ann Robinson seems to have become a multi-millionaire for doing… er… um…

Sorry, I have no idea, all she does is make me jump for the remote to change the programme if I’m unfortunate to catch sight of her well stretched plastic surgery when it forces itself onto my screen when changing channels.

However, the good news is that she’s been handed a driving ban after finally succeeding in totting up enough penalty points.

This is long overdue, because all the other points she amassed on the way to that ban appear to have been for speeding too.

In typical TV celebrity vermin mode, the arrogant harridan attempted to lie to the court and the judge by claiming that when she committed the final offence that earned her that ban, she, according to her counsel, was disoriented and not aware of the 30 mph limit that applied in the area she was zipping through at 43 mph.

Only a TV celebrity that thinks that the sun shines out of her backside would be arrogant enough to thing that the court was so simple-minded that it would thing that a admitting NOT paying attention by a speeder with multiple convictions was a reason for mitigation.

UPDATE ANN – next time the surgeon is tightening up that facelift, even though he’s at the other end of your body from where your brains are, have him stick a brain cell or two in anyway, and you might realise that since you were already a convicted speeder, the worst thing you could do was admit you weren’t paying attention while you were driving. You should have been crawling along at 30 mph, or less, unless you were rock-solid certain that the limit where you were driving was higher.

Twice as bad with Elvis

leave a comment »

Fat, overweight, drug soaked, died-on-the-bog king of nothing Elvis Presley did Britain a great service by only visiting it and despoiling it once, or so the relatively good news used to be.

The story of his flying visit when his plane landed at Prestwick (so, the Scots aren’t always the lucky ones) and the creep was seen wasn’t the only time his presence disgraced the Great Britain.

Now it seems the misery for the land has just doubled, and Mr Greasy was here twice…

Veteran rock star Tommy Steele has admitted he took Elvis Presley on a secret tour of London in 1958.

For more than 50 years, brain-dead Presley fans have believed the only time he ever set foot in the UK was during a stop-over at Prestwick Airport in March 1960, (and tried to convince the non-brain-dead that he’s still alive and well somewhere, rather than still trying to flush himself down a toilet somewhere).

But theatre producer Bill Kenwright revealed Steele’s secret on Radio 2.

In a note passed to the Daily Mail, Steele said he “swore never to divulge publicly” what took place and he “regrets” that news leaked out.

The 71-year-old, who is currently appearing in a production of Dr Dolittle in Woking, said: “I can only hope he [Presley] can forgive me.

Mr curl-up-and die-on-the-toilet might, but the rest of us don’t forgive you for letting slip that the disgrace to humankind has now doubled his time here, and made the place just a little bit dirtier than it was before.

How the heck anyone can have any admiration for someone like that is beyond me. If he’s been my boy I’d have done the decent thing years before, and shot him, and them myself for bringing him into the world.
