Can we take it then that he was either still twice the legal limit as he had been saturated with alcohol from a drunken binge at the party, or that he had just been drinking for four days?

She really showed how stupid she and her client thought everyone else one was, by claiming that as a professional sportsman, she said, he was not in the habit of drinking.

If there was the slightest inkling of truth in that patent nonsense, then he would have been drink driving, or been anything like twice the limit even if he had.

What an insult to anyone that might have been listening.

She added that Grant would face a disciplinary hearing by Hibs and was liable to be fined by them.

SO WHAT?

Sheriff Graeme Warner – obviously a Hibs football fan – allowed Grant to pay the fine at a paltry £40 per month.

WHERE’S THE PAIN OR LESSON IN THAT THEN?

A footballer caught speeding at almost 100mph through a city centre has been ordered to carry out community service.

Dundee United defender Mihael Kovacevic was caught driving at 95mph in a 40mph zone on Dundee’s East Dock Street.

He claimed he had been confused over the speed limit – mistaking a 70mph sign on an adjacent railway line with the signs beside the road.

Clearly he is also delusional if he thinks anyone was ever going to swallow the rubbish he offered as an excuse.

Police found his Audi A8 4-2 Quattrohad been driven at a top speed of 95mph in a 40mph zone.

When he was stopped and told why the police wanted to speak to him he immediately said ‘I was just testing my car’ – so he thought they were mugs that should have been impressed by him too!

It’s a shame he was not sent to jail…

He was only ordered to carry out 100 community service, fined £700 and banned from driving for 14 months. So no key to be lost for his cell, and a fine that means nothing to his income.

They should take footballer’s cars and crush them – with no appeal.

And if they are leased or on payments, they should be be made to pay the lot at once, so the car is their property – and jailed if they don’t cmply.

If they were honouring that particular rule, then we should never know who is at the clinic, but the managers and owners don’t seem to have any problem with making sure the newspapers, magazines, and other media have a full and up to date listing of who is going in and out of the place, and usually why as well.

But that’s good publicity isn’t it, and good for business – not betraying their own patient’s confidentiality.

What I don’t understand is why this piece of rubbish was not just sent straight to jail, where he could have sat and waited in comfort for his trial to come up.

Instead, he’s free to wander the streets, and drive again – celebrity trash has a record of ‘forgetting’ they are not legally entitled to get behind the wheels of their expensive toys – and has proven he’s not responsible.

The case should not be about whether or not he goes to jail this time – it should merely be about how long for, and how hard it can be made to find the key when his time is up.

One of the things that I’ve never understood is the truly unattractive lead character, who keeps on being promoted as if she was beautiful – she’s not! But has even appeared in adverts for beauty products or perfume – products which clearly don’t work, or if they do, she forgot to use them the day they filmed. I don’t suppose there even the slightest hope he’ll get a magistrate or judge on his case that’s also a football (or even a footballer) hater, and decides to make an example of him, and throw the key away for a few years, so the rest of us can have some peace, and not be subject to news about this sort of rubbish for a while.

The photo looks more like someone about to start collecting their pension!

At Annan District Court, he even pleaded not guilty to the charge and the case was continued.

So, the police, with the job of keeping the rest of us safe from speeding footballers, and celebrities, who appear to think the law is not meant to appy to them, are being called liars by an overpaid, spoilt footballer.

And a footballer, a lower lever of life that has a general record of speeding, expects us to believe that he has broken the mould, and should be believed instead of the police.

Well, I know who I would put my money on being the one that is telling the truth.

That would probably not be the one that can afford Nick Freeman.

I have no problem with Nick Freeman having cases dismissed, he does it using the same laws available to the police, and if one of those two does not do their job correctly, then they deserve to lose their case.

However I would hate to think that a liar could get themselves off of a speeding charge.

We aren’t looking at 79 in a 70 mph limit – this one is 111.8 mph, which should be an automatic ban on a charge of dangerous driving.

A 28-year-old woman from Wilmslow, understood to be the star, was detained at Hawthorne Business Park on Wednesday, Cheshire Police said.

The mother-of-four was also questioned on suspicion of criminal damage and a public order offence.

The former winner of ITV’s I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! made headlines two weeks ago when a national newspaper published a video of her allegedly snorting cocaine in the bathroom of her home.

Ms Katona was dropped as the face of frozen food chain Iceland following the revelations.

A spokesman for Cheshire Police said: “A 28-year-old woman from Wilmslow has been released and granted police bail until 12 October at 9am pending further investigation.”

She was held at Runcorn custody suite where she will return to answer bail next month, said a police spokesman.

You have to pity the poor police photographer, probably will the next to get beaten up by her – after all, you can only imagine how awful her mug shot will be with that nose of hers, what her face will look like without the photographer being paid to make the shot flattering and hide it.

I’ve never understood why Iceland went with the fat tart, portrayed as if she was some sort of lovely caring mother in their adverts – well, I do know, it;s because she’s another piece of celebrity vermin that attract viewers looking for gossip.
